Shale oil & oil derived products
Shale road oil
A viscous liquid of dark brown to black colour, shale road oil is based on bottom fractions of crude shale oil. Used in road construction to prepare liquid oils for road paving and repair. Shipped in tank cars, tank trucks (road oilers) and steel drums.
S-1 shale oil
S-1 shale oil is produced by retorting oil shale and is used to manufacture shale oil for wood impregnation, shale water-soluble phenols, shale oil coke and other speciality chemicals. Shipped in tank cars (designed for transportation of black products) and in tank trucks (as sulphurous mazouts).
Road shale bitumens
Road shale bitumens are made by condensation of shale oil with formaldehyde. Bitumens are intended for making asphaltic mixture and binder for surface treatment of asphaltic covering with granite crumb. Road shale bitumen is transported in tank truck road oilres at a temperature of 120...130o C. |
